Camp at Toonallook

On Tuesday the 22nd of October to the 25th of October, my class went on camp to Toonallook in the Gippsland Lakes. We were on camp for 3 nights.

On the first and last night, we slept in cabins, but on the second night, we slept in tents. I was in a tent with Annabel and Joanna. We had to work as a team to set up the tent.

Five children and one of the teachers went down to the lake one night. We watched the sunset. All of us really enjoyed the sunset as it shone on the lake. We stood on the jetty throwing sand into the water.

We did many really fun activities and worked as a team. We did fishing, bike riding, kayaking and many other things.

On the last day, everyone woke up at 6:00 to see the sunrise. Here is a photo of my class at the sunrise jumping up in the air.

My favourite day was when we got to go see a police boat. We saw their beds, the life jackets and their kitchen. The policemen explained when they have to sleep on the boat and take people from there boats.

I was sad when we said goodbye.

Have you ever been on a school camp?
